Good news for the virtual flightsim fans: 2006 will also bring you championships. Unlike to the previous years some changes will be introduced. This year the Hungarian championship will feature two age-groups. We were forced to make these changes, since every year more and more competitors are fighting ageist each other pushing the event to its physical limits. We simply can not provide needed amount of hardware, enough referees and a sufficient big hall to host the event. These are the reasons for dividing the Hungarian Championship and organizing two competitions. One for those under the age of 18 and one for those over 18. Members of virtual squadrons have to enter the Hungarian championship (the competition for those over 18) no matter how old they are.
Talent spotting competition for kids
Competitors under 18 (those competitors, who are under 18 but are members of a virtual squadron are not allowed in this category) will now have their own competition based on the sim Lock On (MiG-29A fighter aircraft). The event will take place on the 21st May 2006 in Budapest. You may register until the beginning of the competition.
Fourth Hungarian Flightsim Championship
Competitors over 18 or members of virtual squadrons will have their already well known competition both in the IL2: FB (Bf-109G2) and Lock On (MiG-29A) category. The championship is scheduled for the 27th and 28th May 2006 in Budapest. Registrations are accepted until the 10th May 2006.
Second European Flightsim Championship – Dogfight Cup
We continue organizing the European Flightsim Championship in the categories IL-2 and Lock On. Unlike to the Hungarian championship, which is a solo competition, the European Championship will feature sections. The Hungarian section of both categories should be formed by the winner of the Hungarian Championship. The host city will be once again Budapest, but this time we have chosen 9th and 10th September as date.
The dates and locations of all competitions are subjects to change.Championships in 2006
