Gábor `Bagira` Molnár won the Kecskemét Air Show`s challenge cup awarded to the best fighter display. This is his second consecutive victory.
JETfly online magazine founded 2003 a challenge cup, which is given to the best fighter (jet) display on the Kecskemét Air Show. The first winner in 2003 was Captain Gábor „Bagira” Molnár, MiG-29 display pilot. This year the public could determine the fate of the `JETfly` challenge cup through online voting (www.repulonap.hu and www.jetfly.hu). Votes were accepted from Saturday morning until Sunday 6 pm. Only one vote was accepted from an e-mail address. Our online survey showed the success of the MiG-29, since the first and second place had gone to the Hungarian Air Force pilots. Captain Gábor `Bagira` Molnár gained a confident victory, receiving 54% of the votes.

The Cup was presented by István `JETfly` Koncsik, owner of the JETfly Online Magazine during the hangar party, the official closing ceremony. Results: Place Name Percentage 1. MiG-29, Captain Gábor „Bagira” Molnár 53 % 2. MiG-29, Captain Zoltán `Topi` Szabó 15 % 3. Mirage 2000 (Saturday`s display) 12 % 4. F-16, Belgian Air Force 7 % 5. F-16, Dutch Air Force 6 % 6. JAS-39 Gripen, Swedish Air Force 4 % 7. Mirage 2000 (Sunday`s display) 2 %

Mi történt azon a napon? Ha a Nap egy bizonyos szögből sütött a kecskeméti légibázis betonjára, sokáig egy ezüstös csík emlékeztetett a 2008. április 17-i repülésre.
